Youth Choirs
Palmetto Youth Choir is open to ALL students K-12 who love to sing. No audition or previous experience is required! (Adults are invited to be in our PEACE CHOIR.) Our age levels are detailed below.

Members learn musicianship, music literacy, vocal technique and performance skills, and participate in concerts and outreach and community events.
We have 2 location options:
1. Mondays on James Island, in the beautiful St. James Center, on the campus of St. James Episcopal, 1872 Camp Road, Charleston, SC 29412. Many of our performances, special events, and retreats take place there, and also at various venues throughout the Charleston area.
2. NEW (limited offering*): Thursdays in Park Circle, at the lovely Charleston Atlantic Presbytery, located at 4701 Park Pl W, N. Charleston, SC 29405. *This location is currently only offered for the youth choir's Intermezzo & Evoluto age groups. (We plan to add Primo and our adult choir in the future.)
Your registration can be transferred between locations if your needs change.

PRIMO: GRADES K-2
Rehearsals: Mondays, 4:15 - 5:15 p.m.
Season Dates: August 17, 2026 - approx. May 24, 2027
Tuition: $800 ($80 per month )
(5% discount for full payment and 10% discount for siblings)

INTERMEZZO: GRADES 3-6
Rehearsals: Mondays, 5:00 - 6:30 p.m.

Our choir season runs mostly congruent with the school year. It's a 10-month commitment, late August through late May. Fees include weekly instruction, all sheet music and other learning resources, performance opportunities, a performance t-shirt, special activities or retreats, and our at-home practice tools, as well as a new group of friends and a weekly dose of joy! Tuition can be paid in two ways:
- Monthly: Ten equal monthly payments, August- May.
- In Full: One payment for the full amount.

- 5% Early-Bird Discount for registrations completed by August 1st
- Applied automatically at checkout if registering on or before August 1st
- 5% Full-Pay Discount for paying in full at registration
- Applied automatically at checkout if paying in full
- 10% Multi-Person Discount for each additional participant registered
- Applied automatically at checkout for each additional participant registered in the same transaction
- ALSO includes participants registering for different choirs
- Most expensive participant pays full price
